Hello! I received my Ph.D. in Linguistics at UC Berkeley in May 2026. Starting just before my final year, I also recently worked as a Linguistic Engineer at Meta. I'm open to any new industry or other linguist opportunities that might be a good fit.

My research is primarily in sociophonetics and phonology. I'm broadly interested in:

• How groups understudied in the literature (Andalusians, southern Spain; the Lobi and Tonko Limba, West Africa) and often-relegated aspects of social identity (sexuality, gender normativity) can inform:
  • Our approaches to sociophonetic theories and methodologies
  • The role of variation in formal phonology
  • How we conceptualize the interfaces between phonetics and other subfields
• Developing and comparing automatic phonetic methods, particularly for capturing fricative place and vowels as dynamic events

My advisor was Keith Johnson.
